Why We Roar

Award-winning author Janet Lee Carey started this blog in 2010 to raise public awareness about the key role libraries play in the lives of children and teens across the U.S., and to give youth librarians a place to ROAR about their terrific library programs. Decreased funding is drying up public libraries and threatening the very existence of school libraries.
People nationwide need to know how essential libraries are. Let’s not be silent about the importance of libraries anymore. Let’s ROAR!
